The woman known as SM is middle aged and the focus of a new study by researchers at the University of Iowa stood up and performed abroad.
They focused on women, a rare brain disease, a genetic disorder as Urbach-Wiethe disease is known.
What does this disease not to the brain si that it really destroyed both sides of her amygdala.
It is one of those on each side of the brain of all people, but in their case they were damaged because of the disease.
What researchers discovered that, because they do not have those parts of her brain, she had me afraid of anything.
They tested the women by anxious in various situations, as they threaten someone with a knife, but in any case it was not in the least afraid.
In the case where she was threatened with a knife, they just turned around and walked away.
Researchers believe that this part of the brain linked to emotion is a strange way, as the woman, the things that normally might not have attracted them, like animals, which may be attracted not so appealing.
This will lead to further investigations on this disease and the brain, likely to lead to very interesting.
