Her husband took her everywhere. When he died 16 years ago, neighbors fought to run errands for them.

She showed her gratitude with gifts and endless thanks to you. Their garage was already more than 60 Christmas gifts for those who had lent her a handful, said her son, Kenneth fishn.

Their house in 1104 Lady Guinevere Drive caught fire while she was inside, said the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

A neighbor, William Shank, saw flames and smelled smoke. In other neighbors, he tried to use garden furniture, to break windows to save fishn and her cat. The smoke was too strong.

"I ran around back and busted out the sliding glass window," he told Bay News 9 "And then I began to hear of the fire and smoke poured out."

When the flames were finally extinguished, firefighters found fishn body, said delegates. A medical examiner determined the exact cause of death.

Neighbors say they heard a heater may have been to blame, but the cause of the fire remains under investigated.

Every day remind neighbors see fishn to the end of her driveway to go to the birds feed.

"She had a hard time getting around, but she was a Trouper," said Leslie Stachelski, a neighbor in a decade.

Fishn had lived in Valrico home in 1978, property records show. Near tree-lined streets and ranch-style houses, the neighbors look for each other.

"If someone needs a helping hand, we have to try," said Tanya Wilson, fishn neighbor for almost 30 years and Stachelski mother.

Fishn and she loved it.

"There you do not like to impose, but she was very grateful for the help her neighbors," said Stachelski.

She was independent and enjoyed their freedom, "said Kenneth fishn. She told her family, another son, Dale fishn of Sunrise that they would never leave that house includes.

But she looked forward to a short trip away for Thanksgiving with the family.

"I was coming tomorrow to pick them up," said Kenneth fishn. "They had already packed her bag."
